when i set up my 150 i was told to step up my drains to go from 1" into 1 1/4 to a 2" y cause it will be quieter. well its very loud. I'm upgrading and the new tank also has 1" drains.
my question is should i run two 1" drains all the way to sump in basement. i read it will be quieter. or should i run it into a y.

My old tank had a y and i found it to be noisy. You have the space for it, why would you put into a y?

only 1 hole thru floor. thats what i was told to do earlier. i will drill another one.

I know its rare but if one were to have an issue onecwould keep working
Hows new build going or still planning it out

finished framing the stand. waiting for my sons friends to put the tank on it to make sure its flat. and leak test it in garage.

yea same spot. my sump room is right under it. i have a 100g rubber maid tub I'm going to use as a holding tank, so i don't have to rush to do the switch. and in case i get a cycle.
