I want to swap out my deep blue stand built for my 30rimless 24x24 for a 48 x 24 version.

The question I have is most stands are made to hold pressure on the corners. If I center the tank on the 48 x 24 stand, I don't think the pressure is being distributed to it's purpose points. Will it cause for concern?

I don't think there is much support in the center area for most stands.

The reason for this is giving additional room for tasks like fragging, more sump/cabinet space, and if you have the additional room then it makes for more possible volume in getting a bigger sump for additional reactors, etc.

Thanks for any information!!!

Im not 1p0% as ive never had or seen a deep blue stand in person , but if its made from mdf chances are theres a very small support in the center which is not designed to hold weight really just a seperator fir the cabinet doors
So i think you will experience some sagging of the top of the stand

What you could do is add some simole 2x4 supports under the stand near the edges of where the tank will sit though it will take some room away from your sump area

Just my thoughts i dont trust store bought stands there usually made of cheap mdf and after one small water spill the whole thing swells and then your in trouble !
