I've used BRS, both the regular and the high capacity. Works fine. The HC seems to be less dusty.

Lately I've been using the Premium Aquatics brand...PhosBlast. It's their version of the high capacity stuff. Seems a tad dustier. Shrug. Works just as well though. PO4 stays low despite the large amount of food I dump in my tank. I got the Phosblast on sale for black Friday so I stocked up.

I think most GFO's are the same...somewhere I even saw it suggested they all came from the same plant. Shrug.

Rinse, light dance - not a crazy tumble - and it works.

I use both rowa and regular brs gfo. Rowa is 4 or 5 times stronger. I used 25% te amount of rowa and it lasts longer on my system than the brs stuff. As for rowa not leeching back into the system, I don't believe that to be true. I test the effluent of my gfo reactor and will get a higher reading than the tank when the media is exhausted.
The good and bad thing about rowa is that it gets you to that next level of low phosphate. Good if you're high nutrient, bad if you're uln.
