Calcium reactor question

How often do u replace the media?? Or just refill it?? And if just refilling when should i??
And what media is the best outhere??

I use ARM course. I got 10 months out of mine. Once it gets low, you should clean and refill with fresh stuff.

How low?? I got the GEO 624 and i been running it for over a year and the media melt maybe 4 inches.

Mine was no longer keeping up with usage. Had about 2" left.

I never really replaced the media unless I accidentally turned the media to mush by making the pH too low inside the reactor. I would top it off usually when Its about 70-80% used (20-30% remaining), basically when the effluent isn't becoming super saturated with calcium/alk anymore (its still dosing, but not as efficiently) and therefore not keeping up with tank requirements.
