Anybody use the Odyssea Brand?

Ive always thought about trying it but never wanted to give it a shot yet. My cousin will be on the hunt for lights for his upcoming 110 gallon tank set up.

It is 48 x 18 x 30 (LxWxH) this is more for members who use the brand...

What do you think? I wouldn't want to recommend any equipment to him unless members here have some success.

Im unsure of the quality of there bulbs tho, maybe that can be switched out for a different brand?

Bulbs are terrible but can be replaced with any standard bulbs , i have heard that thier ballasts dont last very long but if your on a budget its worth a shot

I had a set of t5 (no halides) that I used for two years, the housing is decent quality, bulb holders, end caps work but are very cheap and brittle. No problem with ballasts, moon lights on one fixture did not last long. Bottom line is they work, the quality is poor but will get you up and running for just a few bucks.

I've used them In the past. Just switched out the bulbs for ati and they worked fine. One fixture I still have for 3-4 years the other died after two

I had one for about 4 months and then busted on me. I'm not sure what happened but yeah it was a good excuse to buy leds. just buy the chinese evergrow d120 they work so well and they make rhe corals look way better

im actually about to buy the odyssea ps75 skimmer... ive read amazing things about it, ive also read****** things lol. for 40 bucks it can be beat though

i have my evergrow d120 over my 29g and i flipping love the thing. Its not dimmable by controller but it does have those knobs that help set it.

I'm an Evergow dealer if you're interested in LEDs. I give the d120s to members for $150. I sold out, even the units off my frag tank, at the frag farmers market, but the next shipment should be here in about 10 days, in time for OSRAS or I ship. I also customize the layout to use 460nm blues (rb and rr use 450, which isn't the peak response), also uvs, 660nm (peak feeding response), green, full spectrum.
