I have been searching for a premium anemone for my 93 gallon cube for some time now. Although my ideal choice was a blue S. Gigantea, I recently "settled" for a red S. Haddoni because I have been unable to find a Gigantea and was able to get the red Haddoni (which was very healthy and had been at the LFS for months) for a very good price.
But wouldn't you know, a nice blue Gigantea has just shown up at a local LFS! Thus my question: can these anemones co-exist or will they sting each other? There is enough space in a large center area of the tank for both of them, but they would likely brush up against each other occasionally. I know that anemones of the same species (e.g. 2 haddonis) can touch without a problem, but what about different species of the same genus?
