So I slacked on swapping out my phosban in my tlf 150 reactor. Partially because I felt I was running too low a nutrient system, and partially due to laziness. I took it offline today to clean and replace the media and found this whiteish spongy growth in the bottom sponge. I tried rinsing it out but I am unable to get it all out. Should I buy some sponge from a LFS and cut to size in order to replace, or can I reuse it with no ill effect? I am thinking it's better to replace. Also does anyone know and LFS that would have replacement sponges?
