Local fish stores?

Hi Everyone!
I'm a new member here and was wondering if you could tell me about your favorite lfs? The one I use is www.fishtown-usa.com They have great prices on fish and corals but can be a bit pricey on equipment.

they have gotten pretty pricey with coral and fish lately also. fishtown, new world aquarium, and the petco at union square are probably the only 3 worth going to for livestock and stuff if you don't mind spending extra cash.

There are a few fishstores around, and a few threads with them listed. Do a search.

The best place to go for livestock is right here. Quality fish and corals and you're not gonna get hit over the head on the price. The Vendors here are all members and so are most of the sponsors. Look at all the posts cause non sponsor/vendor members sell some great stuff here too at some great prices. If you have a question about someone you can look at their feedback from the other members that have done biz with them and even pm people and ask their opinion.

Go into the Regional Reefs forums, I posted up a listing on almost every fish shop in Queens if you are interested.

u can also check out northern aquarium on northern blvd and prince st. in flushing..... or berkel marine on northen blvd in l.i.c.
berkel marine issint that big....i had a hard time finding thier place at first.....but they had some fish/coral that i dont usually see at other aquariums....i picked up a green clown goby and i got a nice star polyp frag for 5 bucks...

thanks autoponicz Ive been to northern and have bought stuff from them. Ive had good luck with the coral but never had any luck with thier fish. I will def try to find berkel

Partobe the frag swap is a good place to get stuff. We have 2 official ones per year and a few unofficial ones as well. Sign up for the swap.

Thanks Brendan the only problem is I don't have any to swap. My tank is still new(1yr) so I'm still trying to add stuff to it. Can you just buy stuff there or is it all trade? I will be out of town on the 21st but if I can just buy my try to get to the next one.
