Hey guys just need some advice. I have had these 2 clowns together now for the last 3 months and they have done the normal fight for dominance thing on and off. Most of the assertion coming from the larger clown, but today the smaller male has flipped out. Both the mouths seem torn up and the smaller one if chasing the larger clown all around the tank. Just wondering if i should separate them or leave them to sort it out?

Clowns are tricky unfortunately.. They will fight and then be fine. Sometimes one trys to create dominance over the other or it sense the one is weak. It is solely your call on if you want to separate them. I tend to just let them be and figure it out and things usually sooth out. Could be that you had two males as well which means one will change its sex.. Im not an expert though just stating what I have done

Can always put a mirror next to the tank so they can see themselves and that stops it
