Hey all noticed this on my female blue throat. She was fine last night. She is still eating as normal as are all of he other fish in the tank. She gets a mix of pellets and flakes three to four times a day and also enjoys nori with the tangs. Is this fun rot or does it look like she was beat up? She's the biggest fish in the tank. If it is fun rot what can I do to treat in tank.

Thanks for advice Dino.

Duke. I have a pistol shrimp somewhere in the tank and probably a few dozen hermits of varying sizes. I don't see my tank in the morning so It's possible something was chomping on her while she slept. She sleeps on the Sand in one spot every night so I'll see if I can take a peek in the morning before going to work. My lights are on from 4:45-10:45.

Notice some damage on the side fin of one of my tangs who happens to sleep next to her. No other fish are affected.

Kris went through the same thing with mine after a week in my tank, she was eating well so I left her alone and was fine after 2 weeks.

Doesnt look like fin rot. I have medicine if it is but not in tank treatment as it turns water green. I think somethings picking at her. Id just keep an eye on it see if it gets any worse.
