I failed! it's only 12-18" I plan to be out in the snow with the EVO going nuts. Please stay off the road if you drive a POS. No offense but it's going to be dangerous out there. I have never had a problem in the snow with the evo but I have almost gotten in trouble drifting around and sliding (on purposes) and my brakes took a little longer to lock up then expected.
I Gas up the snowblower and tested it, but still have the generator in the box.
I hoping there will be no power loss because the generator has been sitting in the box since Thanksgiving and I haven't figured out how to operate it as yet...
Was actually going to post a thread to the people of Nj (and NY as well obviously).
Unfortunately I don't have a generator as of now, (still trying to score one...) however I normally am very lucky here where I live and very rarely loose power, so I'll pray that I will be lucky the same.
Regardless tho, if any of you guys in the surrounding areas loose power don't hesitate to contact me and check if I have.
I have a new but fully cycled 75 gallons that you guys can use to store you expensive coral/fish.
Only thing you need to bring are lights as I haven't gotten them but if push come to shove I could rotate mines thru the tanks I have...
I may not be able to accommodate everybody, but worst case scenario our most valuable pieces could potentially be saved...
Good luck everyone.
P.s. If anyone has an extra generator at hand also let me know. Either for sale or to borrow.
You know when you are unlucky when...
Friend of mine was tired of losing power in storms, so he bought a generator. The next storm, power went out and generator came on. Couple hours later, a tree fell over. Missed his house, but took out the generator!
I picked up the Briggs 5500 storm responder generator at home depot in patchogue this morning. They had about 8 more when I left. All others were sold out.
My office is closing at 3:00 PM and already closed for tomorrow. I cannot wait for Wednesday since I work for an auto insurance company. (shoot me now)
