I'm going to be starting construction on my basement soon and will be purchasing a 180 gallon reef tank. I will be placing the tank between the TV/kids playroom and my office. It will be flush with playroom wall and I will be servicing it from the office side. My question is should I go with an overflow on one side or both sides? Is there an advantage? I read about the three line drain system for the overflow I think they call it beananimal system. Was thinking about using this system on only one side and putting an MP40 on the other with the return line. Any ideas? suggestions?

I also have a 180 in the basement, 5 months, I tried to get over flows on one end, custom tank! Most tank guys are putting over flows in the corner w/ 6 foot long tanks. Go with corner boxes, they will give you more viewing space.

Reef savvy has a ghost overflow was thinking of using that on one side and the return on the other. My old 125 gallon had two overflows one in each corner. Does your tank have an overflow on one side or both? Do you have a lot of dead spots? Algae problem etc. ?
