For those who have not heard, Doug Millard passed away on Christmas Day. Doug was a master aquarist of national renown, a popular club speaker for many years, the owner of several shops, including Aquarium International and Pisces Capricorn, a kind and generous human being, and a faithful friend.
I've known Doug since the late 70s. Despite his very serious illnesses we managed to bring him along on a fish collecting expedition to Barnegat Bay last August. To Doug's delight we collected some nice things, including a Short Bigeye, Bandtailed Puffers, Trunkfishes, and Lookdowns. Doug's enthusiasm was undiminished by his many afflictions.
