I have a lg stag colony that doesn't encrust enough to adhere to rock I reglued it a few times but getting annoying finding it toppled over and every time needs to be reglued takes a hit and can't get it back in original spot any way any ideas on a way to mount it more permanently ?

Matt I have the same problem. I will bore a hole into the rock either with a drill, if I can get the rock out, or a knife and place the stag into it surrounded with glue and hold in place. I don't use epoxy for this because it heats up during curing and has caused STNing if it touches live tissue.

I find that any suffocation of the live tissue will cause die off and spread, as MikeNY stated. Another possibility to engineer a solution, lets say you drill a hole into the base of the coral from the bottom. Them mount a plastic post to the rock work, then simply slide the coral base onto the post, like you would a dental procedure, like an implant.

If that's too hard, drill a hole through the coral horizontally, then slip a zip tie in and lock it onto another heavier rock and rest that somewhere.
