OK doing the 'big move' (well 16g move... ) in two weeks and I was thinking of just getting some Catalina Sw the day before so that I do not have to save as much of my old water.

I was thinking about buying 10g, and using 6g of my old water? Is that enough not to cause a huge ph swing? How expensive is that pre made water anyway (Rori?) and does New World carry it?

Thanks!

btw- i like that 'watermark' MR logo when you type your post!

i use to use cataline water when i had a smaller tank, had no problems with it at all. You can find it almost everywhere, Petco has a good deal on it.

IMO, i'd just save half of ur current water, use the other half to keep ur LR wet and damp. Dont forget, if u have sand, once u get down to the bottom its gonna get real dirty.

well my tank is small enough that i can leave a few inches of water on top of the sand during the move- it will get stirred up, but at least I will be able to save it without it going bad and everything dying...

the rock I am going to place right in the buckets, covered in water... i have too many corals growing on the rocks (zoos, leathers, gsp, etc) that I don't want to risk them getting dry..
