Aquamedic or Current-USA

Does anyone have any experience with either of these two companies/products? Need to make a decision on which one to go with.
Will be getting 36" MH/T5 combo.
Or are there any other companies I missed.

I have the current usa sunpod and I love it. It doesn't have T5s, just dual MHs and LEDs. Great fixture IMO.

I am leaning toward the Current. I hear they have internal ballasts.

I have the current outer orbit light fixture and love it. It has 2 250 watt mh's 4 actinic t5's 9 white lunars and 9 blue lunars. Costs about 800.00 to 850.00. Everything is on timers and you have the option to hang or use the legs it comes with.

This includes the two ballasts. The light also has built in fans.

Thats the one Im planning on. The ballasts are built into that unit or are they remote ?

I have the current 36" mh with actinics.. pretty nice came all equiped with hanging kit, bubls and gfci timmers.. ask ronen if you need it..

i have current usa t5 8x54w fixture (4x10k and 4x420 actinic). The fixture is great but the white bulbs are fading already after 5 months and one of the actinic bulbs blew after 3 months. Expect a little more for the money

i had a current nova extreme t5 fixture and wasn't to pleased w/ it.

on the other hand i have an aquamedic mh pendant and ballast and i'm very pleased.

i know i'm kinda comparing apples to oranges but i'm just stating my experience.

there are several other mh/t5 combo. pfo comes to mind but i can't remember any others.

The ballasts are two units that plug into the fixture thru a couple of wires.
