bulb flickering

my mh bulb is flickering should i change the bulb or ballast?
have been told bulb just wanna make sure there both a year old

Bulb (cause it's time)
Ballast only if the new bulb flickers too.

from my experiance. if the light starts to flicker its from the ballast. before id just buy a new bulb if you have another id try it first.
