Bought an sps frag from someone local, met him yesterday at work. When I got back to work with frag I told him it is all white. He said it?s normal, color will come back in two weeks.

I said this looks nothing like the picture you showed me. Seller does not seem to care and feels it?s normal.

So I ask you would you be okay with this?

It is supposed to be a tricolor validia. I bought other frags with same issue from him but this one is the worst. Here is the pic I sent him as soon as I opened bag.

#metoo?!

Maybe the same guy? I picked up this piece this afternoon. It's not dead, but it's not the purple I was hoping for. Still floating at work and has shown polyp extension...will see if it colors up.

Hello, this is the seller. I disagree with some of the negative comments here and have explained that this is how this particular coral responds to fragging, as I have fragged it many times. Looks like crap for a few weeks until it starts growing and then takes off. I've sold to many before who have had similar concerns but the coral has always bounced back just fine. That said, anyone with concerns about the valida is welcome to a new fresh frag from the mother colony free of charge that is fully colored up. Then you can see for yourself how it behaves. PM me or text if interested.

Can you post pic of the mother , and some proof of date .

No way Those frags lost color in that short period of time .
I think you should return the $ it?s only right

Or, cut one more, let encrusted , then call him ,to see how look in your tank, then pass it.
Fresh cut ..........is a..........challenge. 50/50.

Looking at it I would say it?s dead because we are use to getting nice color frags when we buy but it is not dead. I bought the tricolor validia from him a couple weeks ago and I also contact him telling him that it was dead or dying. He told me it will color up in a few weeks or he will replace it so I decide to keep it. Two weeks later colors start coming back and polys turn green. I no longer has the pic when I first bought it but the first pic is a week later and other 3 weeks after. Small piece broke off from orginal frag.

Respectfully I don?t think you understand.

I would be pissed if i bough a frag and I got it in those conditions .
if The seller sent me a picture , and showed me the current conditions of the frag and I agree than it?s ok.

You comments are ignorant ?do your homework?
What does that have to do with anything .

I?m not here pretending i know more than everyone else like you.

Vio....see you at a swap or at meet and greet
