Hi guys, I just got real curious about what salinity other reefers are keeping their tank @.

also can you guys comment some pros & cons about specific salinity

i.e
*1.019 helps fish less prone to ich Vs. corals don't open up as nice etc
**some fish likes it better/started to feed at high/low salinity
***Red Sea is alway 1.023 etc

Lets here it!!!!

Sincerely,

What is better? Thats too ambiguous a question. For your corals too be happy and thriving there are too many factors to consider. The other thing also is where does your coral /fish come from? Different oceans have different SG.

Being that our tanks are a mixture of inhabitants we tend to keep it at a happy medium which tends o be at or around 1.025 If you happen to wander up or down you're still in the so called safe zone.
