Reefs and Cesspools

I know not a good idea to do a water change and send the water down the drain to cesspool. Thankfully, the person I bought the house from has a separate drain/buried tank for the slop sink and washing machine. It is okay to drain tank water there, and will salt water ruin the external sump pump? I am from Queens, so cesspools very foreign to me.

Are you referring to a septic tank? Or a sump in the basement?
Salt water will corrode any metal. My sump water pump are rusted from fresh water alone.
Why can?t you drain your saltwater down the toilet?

It would take a really big tank and real lot of water changes to do damage to your septic.
The laundry going out separate from septic is ?grey water?. You could do tank water into grey water but salt will kill most plants if any in path
