So I'm getting set up here, got my LEDs and the pumps turning and my empty tank is almost ready. SO I remembered which corals I use to have before moving. Some were nice and some were plague like and seemed to take up too much space.
For example, the pavona cactus coral seemed to be conquering too much real estate by stinging other SPS, so I'm going to avoid that. Monti caps seem to take up so much air space, blocking anything else from growing underneath it and blocking water flow, so I'm going to avoid that. Palyzoas seemed to grow out of control that I had to keep plucking them off and burning them with sodium hydroxide, like aptasia.
If you can restart, what do you guys like? encrusting? branching?
I'm leaning towards SPS ricordia and zooanthids. What combos would you guys do if you can do it all over again?
