I've tried many bulbs and for my tank I've always liked the look of 10,000K.
I also use one actinic T-5 to add a bit of blue.
All the 12-20k bulbs I've used are too blue for my liking.

I just got the 12,500k 250w DE bulbs and so far(one week) they are great!
They seem to have the same punch as the 10k but add just enough blue.
I don't know who makes them, that is where Jason may want to chime in.

Here a couple of pics, and yes my tank is thrashed.

These are some new European bulbs that we are trying out. No name on them yet :wink1:. I am very impressed with them, and will keep you updated as to availability etc, after we complete our tests!

they wouldn't happen to be AquaScience bulbs would they? I know you guys sell Fauna Marin stuff.

If they are, I have been using them a few months now and love them.

Yes Jonathan, it was hard to do, but now I'm ready to rebuild.
I couldn't just do nothing, plus I'm really good with the nippers now. LOL

Hey, the lights are nice though.
The frags will love them.
