Valenti puffers are active fish, except at night, when they wedge themselves into a crevice to sleep. Sounds like something's wrong with yours, maybe sick or dying. Or, he could just be adjusting to your tank.
I bought a butifull valentini puffer yesterday he was swiming out and about....And he ate a few times.....Then he was out this morning......and I come home from work today and he looks like hes sleeping with the lights on laying on a coral......Underneith it of course I put food in and he acted like it wasint even there????? Are they just still fish sometimes or what ? Thanks guys and gals
Well after a couple of days I am noticeing that he is just lazy......He eats like a pig....I called the pet store and he gave me the number of the guy that has had him for a year......He said that is the lazyest damn fish he ever saw......LOL He just sits perched on his coral skeloton and bot when the food comes out bang hes on it...thanks for the help
G'Day all. Just wanted to encourage anyone thinking about a Valentini Puffer to "just do it". Ours is a tank favorite: always active, swimming in its helicopter-like way. He shows no aggression to other fish BUT boy does he love his food. Ours sleeps by mooring himself vertically against a favourite rock.
