I've purchased from AH Supply a few times in the past, they have good customer service and a decent price, but I've had several bulbs that only lasted about 4 months. Last time they shipped a replacement bulb at no charge. AH Supply suggested to place a glass cover over the tank to minimize the "splash" and condensation on the lights, but I think I would spend all my time cleaning the glass top and it might heat the water to much. Is it me, the bulbs, or the supplier?????? Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hi; I buy all my PC lighting from Champion Lighting. What kind of PCs are you using? I have the Custom Sea Life ABS(4x96) hood on my 72 gallon. I do use a glass cover because the endcaps are not waterproof. I did take off the lense cover ( of the hood) and place the hood right on the glass top. The glass does get dirty but I clean it biweekly when I do my regular water changes. The corals are all doing fine so I am sure they get enough light. I believe your bulbs are breaking from the saltcreep/condensation..but this is just my opinion. If you do use a glass top you may want to install a fan that will help keep the temp. down.
