I had a really nice and big Acropora that unfortunatly fell into a big BTA and croaked. I was able to save a few frags from it but there is a tiny crab still living in it that came in as a hitchhiker. The only other Acro colony that is big enough for him to play in also has another crab in it. Can two of these crabs live in one Acro??? Or can the crab just live in the rocks?? Are they host specific??? Any help is appreciated.

I don't know anything specific about these crabs but I have 3 of them and they like to rotate between different colonies in my tank. I've seen 2 of them share a head (~3" diameter) for extended periods of time (weeks). I've also never seen them fight with each other. About 2 nights ago, 1 of the 3 molted. This is the most vulnerable time for a crustacean, but up till now, he's still sharing his head with another crab. So although I'm no authority, I'd say the crabs are fairly friendly, if not just tolerant, with each other. YMMV.

I've got a crab that went from my acro to under the bubble. It lives in a hole of the rock where the coral is attached to. Seems fine.
That colony of acro came with lotsa crabs. 3 coral crabs and a bunch of porcelein crabs.
