they wouldnt sell me this mystery algae!!!

was at the lfs today..they had a red macroalgae growing on a piece of live rock...sort of like a red calerpa....any idea...? they wouldnt sell it to me cuz they said they are growing this impossible to get macroalgae to sell the clippings...???What gives?

There is one like you discribe growing right out off the NY & LI area

It will acclimate to aquaria.

Lots of red algaes available, check out some of the sites, Inland Aquatics used to carry one.
