Ha ha ha,

I agree with you 100%! Made my girlfriend realize how good my tank really is! I have been there 4 times in the past year. At first, the tanks were awesome for newly setup tanks, but the only problem was only half were actually setup and running. As time went on, more and more tanks were setup, but the first tanks were starting to look bad. Now, they all look bad. They fired the wrong man. Too bad they dropped millions on the aquarium, and don't keep it up. Did you notice the salt creep and leaks on the bigger 2 story tank?

I ate in the Rainforest Cafe at The Animal Kingdom, Orlando last year. They have a couple of V.large fish only tanks with some large and POTENTIALLY impressive fish, mostly angels and tangs. Every one was suffering in some way, most had bad HLLE. And this lot make money from conservation?

Food was c**p too!

I was just at the Waikiki Aquarium in Honolulu in June for my honeymoon. The interesting thing about that aquarium is that some of the tanks are outdoor tanks with natural sunlight.

Regarding the Baltimore, MD Aquarium. I liked the aquarium. (Real corals or not. I actually didn't examine everything that closely. I was with my 12 year old son and fiancee) Huge setup.

I agrea Rob. I thought the tanks at Baltamore were great. I also thought it was a great idea to have fake reaf setups in most of the tanks. The purpose of those tanks was to show fish.

The reef tank with the Tangs was fantastic. The Tangs were flawless in my opinion. I didn't see a bad looking fish in the place.

I was there about 4 weeeks ago. Unless they had a major set back, I don't know what Neal358 is talking about.

Pittsburgh, on the other hand, has nothing to brag about, except maybe the tank that has the oscars in it.

I was actually impressed with the Baltimore Aquarium tank that had the Yellow Tangs. I got some great pics. Didn't notice any disease on the fish.

Quick question from a new guy. I live in Allison Park, Pa. My tank is being delivered in 4 days. Where in the Pittsburgh Area do you guys suggest for livestock? I am getting my tank/advice from Seahorse, so I will start there.

Thanks,
Dave

Had a similar experience in Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg. There coral reef aquarium was terrible. It only had actinic lighting, and the corals looked terrible. In all the other displays, all the coral was plastic.

The "resident marine biologist" told me that actinic light was "all the corals could stand" and that "Emporer angels only have a 1-2 year lifespan in nature"

Sad. Very Sad.
