Snails

I'm wondering if it's ok to add snails to a new reef tank while I'm still cycling the rock. I'm getting some algae (I think enough to feed some snails) but Im unsure if ammonia effects them in the same way as fish and coral?

Any info would be appreciated.

I would wait. Snails are fairly sensitive to water quality, and you could cause your tank to cycle again if you have a sudden die off of snails.
