Professional advice needed - sandbeds

I am setting up a 55 gal reef with a 25-30 gal sump. I am setting up a sand bed in the sump. I have gotten mixed opinions on the type and size of aragonite to use. I currently have several bags of the Pure Caribean Argonite which can be viewed on the Premium Aquatics website. Which is the best for using in a sump? Which is the best for the tank sand bed?

First I would try to get Southdown sand from Home Depot. But if you cannot in your area,I would use that Carribean sand.
