Does it have to do with not getting enough light? My bubble tip was brown for 3 months, has white tips now, one month after I upgraded lighting. Anybody know for sure?
same ole story with all corals.
"why did that blue acro turn brown or green in my tank. he had one 250MH and i have 400watts!!"
its a matter of which algae is most suited for the situation its in. my LTA turned from brown under NO flours, to pink yellow green and white under vhos, then back to brown under one 400w MH. i dont care none thought because by this time i care for the animal than the color it is.

I think it's just the zooxanthellae adapting to different lighting conditions. My BTA is brown under my 3 x 250 MH HQI's, and it must be doing fine - it's split 4 times in the last year or so.
