sedra same as sen?

i just setup my euroreef skimmer that came with a sedra 5000. the cap that you secure to the pump to hold the impeller in is identical to the sen pump. the housing and the label that displays specs, brand etc. are almost identical to the sen pumps. i have a sen 700 and a 900 and have never had any problems. anybody know if these are made by the same company?

Yep,they are the same.. as are the new dolphin pumps that look just like them.. only the sedras and dolphins are available in more sizes than SEN.

I believe they are. I needed a pump quickly a couple of years ago and a LFS had a "sedra" - never heard of it, but I needed a pump so I gave it a try. Gte it home and all the instructions talk about "sen" pumps. Now those, I've heard of.
