CPR CS50 overflow owners, I need help

Hi All,

What pump, if any, do you use to restart/suck bubbles out of your overflow? I've tried various small Rios and Maxijets. The Rio 600 will do it, but I would like to stay away from another Rio product. I tried unsuccessfully to try and hook the hose to the intake of my Rio 1700 return pump. I would like to be able to hook it up to my return pump. What pump would be comparable to a Rio 1700 that would easily be able to be modified for a venturi intake or are there parts I can get to modify my existing pump.

IMO you really need a venturi powerhead. That's pretty much the Rio 600 and 800 RVT models or the Maxijet with the venturi adapter. I used a Maxijet 900 or 1000 (can't remember which) on mine with the venturi kit which I got from premiumaquatics. My opnion only.

I agree and Id go the maxi-jet route, way more reliable and the venturi adapter is only 3.00 and some change anyways, well worth it IMHO
