OK guys, it's getting time to paint. In the past I had small fresh water tanks. No big deal, turn the pumps and filters off, cover the tank and paint.
With sumps, and overflow boxes, and the likes; What do I do before, and after the house gets painted?

Last time I painted my apartment I put clear plastic bags over the top of the tank. I left the filters on and the windows open with the Air Condition blowing out, vent open to bring in new air. The paint dries very fast and I didn't have any problems.

Just a reminder make sure the timmers are set so that the lights dont come on while the tank is covered.

Actually the colder weather is probably a better time to paint as you can open the windows and let the fresh air in, also help to make the paint dry fast even though today paints dry very fast.

assuming you are painting with interior Latex paints, there really is no concern with fumes as it is non-toxic.

Just be sure to not wash your brushes in the tank :D
