occasionally some of my mushrooms reproduce, and they folat around the tank till they stick onto something, anysuggestions on how to attach these free floating mushrooms to a specific location?

There are a few things you can try, I've had the best luck just stuffing the pedal disc into a pore in the rock. You can try tulle netting (aka bridal veil) and rubber bands, glue might work but the shrooms are usually pretty slimy. Another thing you can try is placing the shroom into a shallow plastic container within the tank, and put some sand in the bottom of the container, and the shroom on that. When it sticks to some of the sand you can glue the sand to a rock.

I have had some green mushrooms for over a year and they have gotten big but have never reproduced. Why?

I use RO/DI for top off. I also have used eveything from PC, VHOs and 250 MH and 400ers. I have not used Iodine in months. I have a calcium reactor for alk and ca .

Try adding iodine slowly and test for iodine. See if the mushrooms are opening more after a few days. In my tank my Xenias & mushrooms shrivel up when iodine is low.
To anchor mushrooms try holding them in place on a rock with a toothpick.
