I have a 45 gallon tank and was wondering if I can put a baby Clown trigger in it. Or how long it would take for him to out grow it .. can anyone tell me

Normally triggers are not considered reef safe because they will nip at everything and usually kill of most corals. If they don't kill them, they will most definitely prevent signifigant growth. That is at least what I have been told. if there are others that know better I am not too proud to admit I am wrong.

it depends on what you call "baby" You may be able to get by with it for a little while. But unless you are planning a tank upgrade in the near future, I would leave him to someone with the proper tank

John, please do not place a fish such as a trigger in a 45 gallon tank. When purchasing a fish think about the mature size of the animal and how you will be able to accommodate it in the future.
