fish dissapearing

an orange wrasse i had that hides in the dirt has been there for like 5 days. he usually hides when i do stuff to the tank but he usually comes out the next day. any ideas if it is normal for him to hide for this long? also i added two true percs they seemed to get along but then one turned on the other and now one is in hiding but i cant find him anywhere. any ideas what may happened? thanks

easy way to tell:
Stick your hand in the sand and stir around. Its either you will shock him (he is alive), or you will sift out a body.

Yours may be active after the light is out.

I did the hand combing suggestion to no avail should i completely disrupt the entire tank to look for him, cause he usually hides in just one spot, or should I assume he is hiding somewhere in the back and not worry about it? I have a 55 gallon with 65+ lbs of LR, just thought it might be useful.

The more you disturb the tank the more the fish will hide (assuming it is alive).

Just let your tank be and sooner or later the fish will pop out from the rockwork.
