It has been a week since I ordered a few corals from world wide pet supply. The corals were charged to my card but no delivery has been made so far. I have tried to call the company at least 20-30 times at the customer service number they provide with no answer. The phone just rings and rings. I am so dissapointed in this company I just don't know what to do. I am beginning to wonder if this is even a company at all and not just some front set up to get peoples credit card numbers. Please, if you value your money and your tank inhabitants, do not do bussiness with this company. I would strongly suggest that anyone looking at purchacing anything from this company reasearch them very thouroghly first. As I said, I was charged over a week ago for corals that were to ship next day air and still have not been able to make contact with this company or have I recieved any product from them. WORLD WIDE PET SUPPLY SUCKS. REEFERS UNITE AND BOYCOTT WORLD WIDE PET SUPPLY.

Sniper, did you do a search on this board and others about this company before you placed your order? If I remember correctly they get bad reviews from all.

Sniper--call your CC company and dispute the charge. They'll credit you back, then order from someone else. Don't break your back trying to get in touch with them. If the corals show up later, you can always have the charge reinstated.

This place is bad news. I stopped by about a week ago to see if things had changed. They were still the same. Awful. All the tanks were empty and everything else was on "clearance". It looked like they were having a going out of business sale. It wouldn't surprise me if they got in trouble again and where going to be moving somewhere else. I hate to say it but if they charged you for your order a week ago, they had no corals to ship to you. BTW, they have caller ID. Any call that is not local will be ignored. You can see this happening while you are in the store. Don't try to deal with them. Call the CC company and let them handle it.

Order from Dr. Mac. His corals are awsome and resonably priced. I don't remember his e-mail address, but you can search for it on this board.

I bought a set of lights from them last March. They charged my credit card, and then waited over a month to send the lights to me. I called them every day, and their mailbox was always either full, they would answer and hang up, or they would just not answer. When I did get someone, they would all blame each other for the problems. One person, Cherie I believe her name was, promised me that they would take care of shipping for me. They never did. My credit card company screwed me over as well because nothing I had was documented from them. Their policy is to charge first and ship later. Cancel the order with your credit card company first, and then with them. You'll probably never get in touch with them, so that's why do the credit card company first. Also, document everything they tell you. They are a bunch of liars, and will cheat you however they can. They are incredibly unethical, and the only reason I kept my lighting order with them was because they were supposed to pick up shipping (and like I said, they never did). As a lawyer, there'd be a nice class action suit against them if somebody wanted to file it, maybe even drive them out of business since they are so lousy. All I have left to say is, you're right. They don't deserve anyones business.

By the way, not to advocate violence or anything (especially if you take this to heart!

This is their local number. You may get someone at this number instead of the toll free number. That is unless they are screening the calls.

for corals - I try to use captive propogated frags rather than wild caught - IMHO, they are hardier and more environmentally freindly - if you get the right ones and place them correctly, they will grow fast - mine have grown tremendously over the last 3-4 months and in fact I'm already fragging some of them - I got mine from www.drmaccorals.com and would absolutely do business with them again - if you do a search on this site, you will see what other people think of them, it's all good....

Wow...I have ordered from them many times and always got everything in good shape and on time.....guess I was one of the lucky ones.

I ordered from them opnce with not problems at all. They even advised me about a certain coral I wanted.

Try using *67 to block caller ID. Bet they answer.

Sniper, Have you looked at Dr Mac's sight yet? As I mentioned above a search will show you some great captive breeders, Dr Mac is one of many with a flawless record.

Class action suit. For possibly customer service liability, I don't think so. Drive them out of business, I don't think so, Stop everyone from buying there, I don't think so. there are a lot of low end e-tailers, they just keep on flourishing. getting it off your chest, absolutly. But that's just my opinion, I may be wrong......

Dev, as an Attorney, you should contemplate you choice of words when speaking of others, The first amendment does not cover slander.

WWPS UPDATE-
Well, another day of 20-30 calls with no answer at world wide pet supply. Obviously they are a sham. I have contancted my bank and CC company to dispute thier charges but have been informed that this may take up to 60 days. This is a good lesson for anyone interested in buying corals or aquarium supplies online. PLEASE, do not make the mistakes that I have made. Check the reputation of the supplier before doing bussiness with them. It will save you much aggrivation and possibly even the lives of some of the rarest and most beautiful orginisms on this planet. We can not afford to loose even one of these delicate species.
With that said, I am still in the market to buy some corals for my tank. If anyone has had a good experience with an online coral distributor, I would love to hear from them. Any suggestions of reputable dealers would be greatly appreciated. And to sum it up, BOYCOT WORLD WIDE PET SUPPLY. They suck and deserve no ones bussiness, especially yours.
