green carpet anemone question

I ordered a green carpet and a pair of mated true perc clowns and the ideal place for the carpet (highest visibility, no rock movement) is just underneath my coral cup, within two inches.

Do green carpet anemones sting? The cup is my second oldest coral and I do not want to do anything that may hurt it.

Yes, they sting and are fully capable of killing every coral in it's way. An additional highlight is that the place you have in mind for it will most likely have nothing to do with where it ends up.
