I wish I had a camera to show you how pleased I am.But I hope I'm not speaking too soon.
I posted about 9 months ago with a disaterous start-up scenario. It was my second tank and I thought I knew what I was doing. Many liitle mistakes equaled a big disater, if I had to put it down to one thing it would be not enough cirulation. Over the last several months with somw gudance from you guys and following a lot of gut instinct I'm really happy that.
I've got beautiful long term residents brown polyps and mushrooms and a fantastic looking finger leather.
The xenia and green polyps I have added in the last few months are beautiful and grow more so daily. The colt coral I added a month ago has recovered from the initial shock of the move.
I have litttle algae eating snails that are reproducing prolifically and best of all...
The malu I added two months ago seems as heathy as a horse,. settled in , found a place he like right away browned up and the perc clowns moved in two weeks after.
I don't want to count chicks before thy've hatched. I know I've got a lot to learn still.
I just thought that those who knoew mw in my frustrated days would like to know the results of my case study.
As I said I think there were many small things that contribited to my failuire to keep fish alive when my params were good.
I am writing this to emphasise that patience and the willing ness to spend what it took, got me through to the happy side of reefing.
I am in awe how beautiful my tank looked when I walked in tonight. Iacn't wait till I have photos.
