HI all I have a new tank. Circulation good 60 gallon with 20 gallon sump. Up and running 2 days. Nothing in it. WHy could it be cloudy? Any ideas?

It could be either of the above. OR it could be that your water is adjusting to the high PH/Alk of the saltwater. Throw in some GAC and a filter pad to remove any particulate matter. If it stays cloudy get some proper PH 8.2.

I find it that, when you make a fresh batch of saltwater, it takes some time for the salt to fully dissolve in the water(time depends on water flow/water amount) and when it has fully dissolved it leaves behind some saltcreep on the tank's glass. This will give the illusion of the tank being cloudy, so try cleaning the glass if you haven't done so. If it's the water itself being cloudy then try using some carbon this should clear it up. Some people confuse a cloudy tank with a tank filled with lots of tiny bubble coming from return outlet. If that's your case, check whether all your pipes are airtight(a slightest hole will turn your return pipe into a venturi system) or check whether your skimmer is causing all the bubbles. Wait a couple of days to see what happens. Hope this helps.
