I am plumbing my sump and its been over an hour and it still smells like glue. Do you think its safe to run water through it yet? if not how long and should I wait till the smell is gone?

Hehehehe!!! That was cool, the seventy. I remember that time, drinking left over beer and smoking ######. But anyway, Yep, that is what I meant. Depends on which glue you are using. You are talking about the pvc glue that has kind of like purple color right ? The glue should be harden quickly, but since we are using it for salt water. We should let it sit for a while. Remember not to put a big amount on the pipe that it would drip all over the place. Make sure that it should be no glue inside the pipe where the salt water would flow through.

It take time, I usually let it sit for about three hours or so. Just to be safe. You can still smell the glue after a few days. But it is okay by then. Be patient, may friend.

MATTT I hope what your telling me is that it will be safe in three hours I hope..????

Ill try to be patient but I dont have to much..
in the seventys there was a poster with two vultures on a lim and they were saying damit I want to kill something....Im kind of like that...
