NO flourescent question

Hi everyone,

I am looking to upgrade my 30 FO to a FOWLR. I have a 36" Double Bright Perfecto lamp on now. I currently have two daylight bulbs in the Perfecto. What bulb do you recommend I replace one of the daylights with. I do not plan on keeping any light lovin critters in there, but I do want to maintain health LR.

If you don't have anything photosynthetic, then your current lighting should be fine.

AotS is correct but you may want to try one corallife 10K and one 50:50. This is the combo I have on my ten gallon reef and the color is nice. I also have great coralline growth.I also dose with B-Ionic. In a fish only tank the B-Ionic would not be required but it will help the coraline grow. I think the good coraline growth looks better than without. Plus with some extra care to the water quality and some good live rock to start you could get a nice collection of feather dusters, sponges and other low light hitchhikers.
