If he has an affinity for picking at corals, it will probably translate to him eating your polyps. Each fish is an individual, just like people, and his habits are his own. Most large angels are not considered reef safe, but sometimes you get lucky. Sounds like you wouldn't be with yours.

I'm thinking of moving some electric green greenstars and/or a couple of different colored zoanthids to my 170 gal tank with a Koran Angle, flame angle, yellow tang, kole tang, a couple of six line wrasses, a dotty back, banggai cardinal and a bunch of royal grammas and a couple of black cap bassslets. The Koran and possibley the Flame are the only ones I'm concerned about. The angles forced me to remove a elagance and an open brain. They left a Trumpet (Cauastrea echinulata) alone until I fragged it then they strarted picking on it (I guess they figured if I could pick on it they could too) until I removed it but have not bothered the candycane (Caulastrea furcata) except briefly right after I moved it near one of there swim thoughs but they leave it alone now.

I'd like to add the green stars and/or zoanthids, has any one had any experience or knowledge Re: Koran Angles and these corals??
