Xenia Shrinking-What Gives?

Put new lights in 90G, 2 actinic 2 white. Xenia starts to shrink. Any ideas? Not related to light but something else? Pulsed like mad for weeks. Nitrates go to 0 and Xenia looks poor. Have read something about them liking Nitrates as they do denitrify.

hello and yes xenia like less then perfect water!
every time i do a water change on there tank they will shrink and not look great for a few weeks.
try to keep them with things that like this.

It is probably the change in lighting,a little bit shock. It should recover in a few days. The nitrate thing is also true. I just purchssed a small xenia and plan to move cuttings into the refuge with the macros.
