I have had an AquaC Remora (not pro) on my 65 gallon for a while now. I lost the brush that you get with it. I have been cleaning it with ta tooth, but how do you clean the jets? I have had to adjust it down all the way or adjust the jets open more to get any skimmate. What is up with that. I recently added the surface skimmer attatchment, but that is all. I clean the pump often, but still same result.

Your message is a bit cryptic, adjust what? There is nothing to adjust on the Remora other than the height of the cup, and IMO there isn't much to clean other than the pump. Jason provided the hole and the brush to clean the injector but it really does not have much of a tendency to clog from my experience.

You will find that it is best to contact the manufacturer if you have any performance questions. They built it, they know better than anyone here.

I thought the screw that was in the hole was for adjustment. I guess I was wrong. I just don't seem to be getting any gunk now. I just cleaned it, but nothing. Anyone have Jason't email?

You can look at the AquaC web site for JAson's email address and other good information. It is http://www.proteinskimmer.com

The screw locks your collection cup in place. Loosen the screw and slide the cup to where you want it, then tighten the screw to hold the cup in place.

The skimmer may take a while to break in and start making foam.

Actually the screw in question is not the tension screw on the collection cup. It is a small nylon screw that Jason put in the PVC that runs from the pump to the spray nozzle. It is just a clean out plug, you remove that screw and insert the provided bristle brush to clean the injectors should they become clogged, which the rarely do.

The only adjustment on the Remora series skimmers is the height of the collection cup. Raise the cup for a drier foam, lower it for a wetter one.

Thanks MickAv8r. I did that before I posted this. I still got no skimate until all of a sudden this afternoon it started working. Go Figure. I did remove the surface skimmer box though.

I have had the Aqua C Remora on my 46gal for over 1 year now with pretty good results.

Start with the collection cup all the way down and adjust up from there depending on the amount of gunk being collected. Also the surface skimmer works great for eliminating the oily film on top of the water if you have it set at the correct level.

You need the rim of the surface skimmer about 1/2 inch above the water surface, it needs to act like an overflow to work properly. It should also help cut down on the micro bubbles in your tank although it will not entirely eliminate them IME. DO be careful not to let the pump run dry if you use the surface skimmer...
