How do you like your Berlin Venturi Classic Skimmer?

I'm looking at the Berlin Venturi Classic Skimmer and wondered what some users thought of it. How much room in your sump does it consume?

It's a skimmer... It works...
Not the best, but it works.

Here's a hint, don't get a RIO pump (several places sell the RIO pump with the skimmer). I've heard that the MAG 7 pump works well. I have a SEN 700 but it's too powerful for the skimmer which makes it overflow if I feed, so I have to cut down on the air intake.

RichK was talking about this last nite on #reefs. Get a Mag7 and replace the existing OEM venturi that comes with the skimmer with a Kent venturi.

For the venturi: go to Aquatic Ecosystems' website: http://www.aquaticecosystems.com/ and do a search for "Turbo-Venturi Injector 3/4" ". It should be the first venturi that pops up on the search result.

He said he was about to drop $300 on either an ETS or Bullet or something like that and decided to try this mod for the heck of it prior to upgrading his skimmer. He said it works 500% better with this mod...the entire chamber is smoke white. There's a couple other people on #reefs that have tried it such as Chaotic_Reefer and they've verified RichK's findings.
