Southdown in DFW area

Anyone know of a good place in the metroplex to get southdown?

?????? i went looking today (sunday) at the Home Depot in Euless ( useless ) when i asked the guy for South-Down sand he took me over to the playsand which was not what I was looking for

It is my understanding from other posts I have read that Southdown is not sold west of the Mississippi. I also looked in Dallas for Southdown before I learned this fact.

A month or so ago, someone posted to one of these boards (don't remember which), that somehow he had had obtained a pallat or so of sand and was willing to share it with fellow hobbist in the DFW area. Probably all gone by now.

One of the DFW MAS members has a pallet. I won't say his name because I haven't asked him. I recently went out to his place which was amazing, and there in the shop was a pallet of Southdown. He had about 20 bags on it. He said, when that runs out he will just order another pallet. I will write him and see if he can tell me how to get it.

holy crud. I just bought about 12 bags of purearagonite.com from a local reseller a few months ago. That stuff was expensive. 8O How did he get the pallet?

Also, who's from dfwmas and gonna be at the meeting?

I finally got some southdown so I purchase a few extra bags. I live in Louisiana but I am in DFW every couple of weeks. They cost 15 for a 40 lb bag.
