I was thinking of putting my porcupine puffer in my 30 gallon (long) tank. I'm wondering if the tank will be too small for him? He will be the only fish in the tank.
I searched under porcupine puffer and read an entry where someone had two of these puffers in a 40 gallon tank, but nobody said anything about it being too small. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Porcupines grow big quickly, and they like plenty of swimming room.

A small porcupine could stay in a 30g for a year or so, but the sooner you get a bigger tank the better.

It is not advised to keep porcupines of different sex together, no matter how big the tank is.

Feed your porcupine natural and fresh food (clams, mussels, oysters, raw shrimp, crab) and you'll enjoy the company for many years.

Good luck.
