Red liquid coming out of plate coral?

I have a short tentacle plate coral in my tank that I noticed releasing some red string like liquid into the water today. It was released in 4 bursts about 15 seconds apart. My power heads blew all around and disappeared very quickly. Any idea what this was? Thanks for the info

My Red Open Brain does the same thing, usually 20-36 hours after a feeding. It is just purging what it can not digest.
