Care to specify tank dimensions? MH can supply adequete lighting, although use of actinics (especially VHO's) should not be discounted for the PAR they contribute (read: actinics are not just for aesthetic appeal, and possess utility).

Leonard Its a seventy five gallon tank...
I have a uv unit ..wet dry...red sea berlin protien skimmer 2 emporers on the back...kent aqua doser 2 gallon...built a oak hood Im putting 2 175 watt german 10,000
kelvin light bulbs....I havent finished the hood yet so Im trying to decide what it might look like?

Did u fire up the 175's yet? That will be show wether or not you need actinics, say if you like the tank bluer. Since it's a 10k bulb you really don't need the actinics. You could include some in it anyway and later change the florescents to a different blut type, like 50/50 or 10k but seeing the actual bulb color is the only way to tell. Whats the make on the mh?

You kind of dont need the UV, wet/dry, or the emporers (except maybe one to run carbon), but thats another story.
